Do I Smell Burnin Rubber?

Hiya,
I picked up a SS Inductions CAI yesterday to get a little more air as I have just had my engine worked over a little (Cam, rebore, flat top pistons and set of pacemakers). I modded the bottom airbox as directed and fitted the Air intake. All looked good and sounded better (more induction noise) however when I closed my bonnet CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP. The damn fan is hitting the CAI on the right side. This is only when the bonnet is down as it is pushing the CAI onto the fan.
Has anyone used this CAI before and had the same issue or any pointers on how to fix this?
I now have my bottom box gaffa taped up with the old intake on it. :bang:
