Start up issues

Hi all. Does anyone know if a faulty TPS can cause start up issues. Its an issue im having with my VS Statesman

Not usually. I’ve started mine with the TPS disconnected. The more common sensors associated with a fail to fire are the CAS and DFI module. Any codes flashing?

Interesting. No codes flashing. Once its started it runs well and sometimes it fires right up. However it is getting worse

Give the IAC and throttle body a clean out with carby cleaner as a start. Also check for vacuum leaks.

I've cleaned the throttle body already but I will tend to your other recommendations. Thank you very much
