Stinky petrol smell in VS ute

Im having the same drama in my sedan, when i fill up the fumes are really bad!!! Ive noticed that there are fuel lines broken on the filler neck on the tank, im going to pull the tank out this fri and replace the broken lines. Ive got a feeling the line going to the charcol canister is broken as well so the eecs wont be doing its job!!!!

Any 1 got any pointers on removing the tank??? Other then draining the fuel out 1st!!!
