A classic Australian muscle car has been stolen during a break in at Lara.
It is understood the early-70s HQ Monaro was stolen sometime over the weekend, along with a BMW motorbike, tools, a TV and computer.
Home owner Kim says he flew out for his job as a crane driver in Western Australia on Friday night.
He says a neighbour heard the car start around 5am Sunday.
Kim believes thieves got into the Rennie Street property through a back window.
The burglary was discovered on Monday.
Kim, who is now on his way back home, says he is gutted and believes he may have been targeted as he is often away for work.
The Monaro is white with a black stripe and has the registration LOV-866.
The registration of the red 1996 Commodore is NSP-497, while the registration for the 2006 BMW motorbike is HP-252.
Anyone with information is asked to call Corio police on 52 739 555 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
