vy s ute
hey guys got a question
got a vy s ute rebuilt and reconditioned motor 3000000 on clock but reconditioned engine at 10000
drives fine under 80 but over that wobble in steering comes in, was real bad so i checked pressure of tyres, changed front rotors both and brand new hubs, break pads, wheel alignment, all wheels balanced and rotated but still there but not at bad as first time driving
got a hand written book on everything that has been done but not everything to detail
any answers lmk think it may be tail shaft not sure cause it doesnt happen when accelerating
ooorrr maybe mount
some help be appreciated ❤️

I have read what you have replaced,
but without seeing it,
my quick assumption is -

I would put it down to Either/Or -
Rotors, (warped)
Hubs damaged/buckled, (hit any gutters)
Bucked Rims, (Front or Back)
Front end Bushes,
Wheel Alignment (too much camber, or not enough)
Centre Bearing, (knacked)
Tyres have eggs in the tread and/or side walls,
Tie rod ends.
Steering Rack worn.
Transmission (hmmm, being a S Ute)(They go faster)

Try swapping front rims to rear and vice versa.

This will help rule out rim/tyre issues, as you've replaced most items that will cause the shaking.

Also with the shaking, is it steering wheel wobble or more felt in the floor with your feet and body?

To help eliminate things, it would be handy to know where the wobble is coming from

Was it there before the engine swap?

Can tell you, it ain't wheel alignment

If an alignment is that bad to create a wobble, you'll feel it at 20 KPH and would be undriveable at 100KH

Have you tried rack mounts? Or rack ends, at pedders this was one of our first go too items
