I hope so.
But like I said, I'm needing a new car asap so that might be difficult. :(

manual conversion on a lvl car is ok, manual conversion on a car with a 5sp is feasibly not possible as the dash wiring is different

only reason i converted mine is cause the 4sp wiring is thhe same as the manual

I know this is not any help at all really but... I'm selling my VZ SV6 at the moment. 5sp Auto.
There's heaps of them out there but, as you've said, not many 6sp Manuals.

Yea I think I'm going to have to settle for an auto.

I went to look at one today and the steering was wayyyy off.. like I know the steering on VZ's is really stiff to begin with but this felt like there was no power steering turning into corners and then all of a sudden it went soft, then hard again, in every corner.

So gave that up.. now I'm back on the hunt.

you should have taken it to a mechanic, got him to check what it was, take it back to the owner with a quote and negotiate it out of the price or get him to fix it before he sells

The whole thing seemed dodgy.
Different area to as listed and the car came from interstate.
I'm not keen on risking anything and don't want to have to get anything fixed straight after buying it but meh.

So many clean manuals interstate :(
I think I might have to go for a trip!

Yea true. Just gotta ask a lot of questions and get a lot of pics before I make the trip.. I guess I could organise to look at a few while I'm up there though.
