SV6 Series1 used 1.2 litres of oil after 4000 Kms

Need more info how long have you owned the car, had it just started drinking oil or been gradually getting worse?
How many Ks on car, SIDI or standard?

Holden do have a software update for oil consumption (strange that it might be). Ordinarily oil consumption suggest problem with rings or valve stem seals. Worth checking that software update with Holden first as other possibles would be more expensive to correct. As per Greenacc what's the kms on the car?

Sticking PCV valve could elevate oil usage. Not sure where that is on the late model V6 engines though.
