Never mind the Matildas. No shame in being fourth in the world.

It was good seeing Australia behind the Matildas. It just shows how big the game of Soccer(Football) is. The women's Netball World Cup was just played and Australia won and I don't think anyone knew it was even on.

Our football girls were absolutely spent last night.
They had nothing left to give after 90 plus minutes.
I believe a couple of them were at collapse point.
Aloisi said it all during the week.
More change to get more energy into the team.
That never happened.
I respect our football team and wish them all well in the future playing all over the world with their chosen teams.
Football, real football that is, is a mighty good game, the world game, and deserves to be.
I will of course be watching the grand final tonight but make no prediction.
Good look to both teams, you both have worked so hard to be where you are.

That was an unjust penalty decision!

I only watched from the 78th minute so I missed that bit. I'm no soccer expert but I thought there should have been more yellow cards handed to some of those Swedish players. I thought the English players engaged in some push n shove but the Swedes were much better versed. Not saying some of our Ladies didn't have their moments but I think the Matildas played admirably.

Only saw a few minutes during the NRL half-time break. Enough to see a Swedish player put a nice NRL style Cumberland Throw on Sam Kerr after she had passed the ball. That will get a penalty in NRL, but in women's soccer ........... nothing . ? ? ? ?
