Have you reseated all your relays? When it happened to my VY SS I had to reseat the low beam headlight relay. Odd but it fixed it.

VX SS (Original owner).
Here is a pic of the sticker under the bonnet of my VX SS, it says fans may run after ignition is turned off, I guess it depends on how hot the engine is when shut down.

Check the connections to your CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor). If they are damaged or if the CTS is giving a faulty signal it can cause the fans to stay on after the ignition is turned off. Personally, in the 13 years I've owned by GTS, I've never had the fans continue to run after the ignition was turned off, except the one time when I damaged the CTS while changing the spark plugs.

Thanks guys, worked it out , The metal tab around the key didnt touch the key causeing it to cause a fault and the thermo fans where stuck on a open loop.
(i changed the VT part around the key with 2 metal tabs for the VX full metal tab and didnt adjust it)

I'm with Drewie^^^The fans can stay on as a normal part of their operation. If the coolant temp is too hjgh the fans are designed to stay on until the temp drops to a factory set level.
