This happen when i got my suspension test and shocked tested by company in newcastle

Its VX 11 and think its called the outer side cover
Where the hight control is and where recliner knob for the seat .
Half way a long there is a fastner and inside that was there star looking nut
at front of the seat holding outer side cover on driver side is screw
Then there is ajusting switch retaining tangs and then faster and behind there is this star nut. the cant find anywhere for it to screw on too. I will send you pictures

Yeah happens all the time, I've replaced mine twice on the VX and once on the VY. Cheap part to replace.

Was your car that dirty at the time of testing and with the seat mine also did the same.
Back when I was 60kgs larger I kneeled on the side of the seat and the cover snapped off
and the side of the seat snapped to so after I lost the 60kgs I managed to buy a pair of red
leather seats from a Commodore Manaro.
