Traction control + revs

Hey all, I've recently picked up a vy ss M6. Just got a couple of questions as I'm not sure whether this is normal or not.

1. When trying to change gear at a higher rpm, the rev needle comes down from about 4.5-5ish K rpm down to 0. Is that normal? As far as I know the car hasn't been tuned.

2. When the revs go past 4k or so, the traction control turns off by itself.

Hasn't caused me any problems at all & it drives great, but curiosity got the better of me on this one.

Thanks the reply mate. It didn't think it was normal, I'll get the codes checked. I was thinking maybe the previous owner changed something around but I'm not sure lol.
