ok im having problems with my aerial, the whole thing seems to be working, but what i want isnt. ok so what i was wondering is how do i wire it up of the deck so that the aerial comes up only when the radio is on and stays down when i play a cd, ican only manage to get it to stay up and my aerial up and down buttons do move it but goes back up no matter what. if i unplug it the aerial only moves with the up down buttons
what the hell is wrong

what brand of sterio are you running if it a pioneer unit that would explain a lot pioneer units dont have that option. most of the other brands do but for some reason pioneer dont do it.

as far as i know the pioneer head units send a signal to the aerial all the time while the unit is switched on it doesnt cut the signal when you change to CD so that is why it goes back up on you.

when you unplug the aerial it isnt getting the signal anymore thats why you can put it up and down again.

try with another head unit (different brand) and see if that makes a difference.

cheers
Ben
