Here's a few pics from last weekend where we went and found some snow and mud.

I got around to (half) installing the LED strip lights on the door. And they are bright as hell! So far they're mounted and ready to wire up but I don't know if it'll be powered off the rear 12v outlet or the rear interior light. Either way it will have it's own push on/push off switch which is hidden behind the table. T the moment power comes from the 12v plug which came with the strips.

Finally got my brand new $250 Milford cargo barrier today as my parents bought it back with them after their trip to Brisbane. The fitting instructions say 1.5 hours and I managed to do it in just over 3. Still, I reckon I saved myself a few hundred bucks on installation and it looks like it was done by a professional haha.

ya mum!
Looks good!

But bugger! Why can't manufacturers get these right? It should bolt in just behind the base of the back seats, then follow them up from the floor to the head rests and then go vertically to the roof! I had one in the VT Commodore wagon that did it like that. You don't lose so much cargo space that way.

Agreed. I do lose a but of space but for me the safety benefits overcome this. I could probably modify the extra long straps (which allow the barrier to be positioned behind the front seats) to make it more vertical but I don't think it would really help for extra space.

When I had mine in the Patrol, the gap behind the seats was handy for storing some bits and pieces like tarps and tools that I could get to easily but not having to put it right at the barn door.
