That's why I said on a road car...
It's not something you'll notice everyday. So why spend the coin on it.

As I said its a waste of time unless you are fitting a cam cause the balancer has to come off anyway....

To many people are only thinking of the 3rwkws you will gain but what about the other components that will now last a bit longer as they are now turning 25% slower like the power steer pump, alternator, water pump, dont you think these parts will now have an easier life?
Worth it for the $300ish I say.

You make a good point Steve but if you dont put a cam in chances are that you are not going to be reving the car that hard anyway. I reckon Holden/GM would have done a lot of testing to ensure the water pump etc etc would be up to the task in factory trim. I still do not think it is worth it unless you are doing a cam due to the parts and labour cost to fit the balancer for no real gain.

Wouldn't it put more load on them things at low RPM because they're spinning slower, so you're essentially going to be forcing the issue (PS pump).

well if your putting a cam in, your bumping up the idle speed anyways, so the accessories will be spinning no slower than usual at idle.

Yes I take it for granted that the car would be at least be cammed.
