the v6 record has been smashed for some time. his user name is Jas.G on the streetcommos forum hes run a 12.37et at 107.9mph with his new vn 4.3 stroker v6 Nat.aspirated and theres more to come. it runs a fairly small 232@50 solid cam but obvisously a well matched combo.

hey matty m, why are you getting a aftermarket computer? Your stock 1 will handle more mods than you got no problems at all.

i was told the stock ecu are crap and would not be suitable with the stroker and was told it mite run to lean

Get the stock ecu retuned. It can do more than any aftermarket ecu can and you will will need to get the aftermarket ecu tuned anyway. There are a few people on this forum who will be able to send you a close tune for your car at a fraction of the cost for the aftermarket ecu.

Nah man you where told wrong sorry. As Matt_vp also said, your stock ecu can handle it all very easily, I have a stock ecu in my car and have had it retuned without a drama (provided the tuner knows what they are doing).
A aftermarket ecu will only cost you extra money for no reason. There is no gain to be made by changing it.
