vb-vk engine conversion

Hi all im new to the forum please be patient with me im still learning about cars in general im what you would call a backyard mechanic lol, my query is how hard is it to fit a buick motor into a vb-vk commodore is it all relatively straight forward and also is it legal in sa to drive on your p plates I would go v8 but that'll be down the track when I can drive it,also what transmission or gearbox would ppl recommend as im going to stroke it too,

I did it and plenty of people on this forum have done it but be prepared for problems that you will have to overcome ..all have been covered on this forum..... so search and you will find.
At probably a touch under 1500 kg that model vb-k commodore is very attractive upgrade if done properly

It would need a mod plate in QLD and P platers cant drive a mod plated car up here. It maybe the same in your State.
