VE 2012 - Car needs to be turned to Accessories for speakers to work?

Hi,

My car used to let me play the speakers and stuff without even needing the keys in, now I need the car on accessories for them to actually play sound? The song still is shown as playing and the timer for it is still counting so it's playing, but nothing comes out the speakers? Just got it upgraded today to Sony all round with a Clarion amp.

Because you need your accessories on for the Amp to get power.
Without power to amp the nothing will be sent to the speakers

Can the amp be wired to the battery in the boot ? Or would it drain it way too fast

The amp will be wired to the battery for main power, however it will have a trigger wire that turns the amp on when it gets a small power feed from your accessories.

I have wired mine exactly the same.

I have read that there is a white wire from the headunit that is supposed to trigger the amp that powers the subwoofer amp in the premium sound systems. I didn’t bother with finding this and used the accessories feed.
