Ve commodore alternator

Hi ppl was just after some answers on alternator voltage issues...my car reads 14.5v the sometimes drops back to 11.5 then puts up service charging system warning and alternator warning...so put new alternator in same deal...new battery same thing...swapped out bcm and ecm same deal...all Holden can tell me is its reading low and high voltage issues from l terminal and f lost for what to try next

Try taking it to a ‘sparks’.

I did and they told me they can't test it cos it's computer controlled

How old is the battery?

if smart alternator goes open it defaults to around 14v
yours is being commanded to go low for some reason
what is the current sensor on the battery cable like
battery cables good
how about the mystery positive connector on firewall behind glovebox

The battery is brand new I've gone through 3 batteries so far with this issue

Yeah right nice to know...all of that checks out fine only thing I haven't checked is the positive cable/connector behind the glove box but would think you'd get a different reading from boot to jump posts under the bonnet?
