I checked my old diff this morning (factory omega open diff) it is a 3.27, so my apologies to wizeabe - i stand corrected.
prob should get a speedo recal, BUT its not out, it still aligns with the GPS speedo (which is apparently pretty accurate also)... any ideas guys?

why would it being digital mean its not going to effect it? wouldnt it change the reading with different sized wheels if the rolling diameter if different to standard requiring it to be re calibrated?

Doesn't matter which diff ratio or wheel sizes are installed on a vehicle at time of manufacture, yhey will always have the speedo calibrated accordingly - usually 3 km/ph fast at about 100 km/ph which as pretty much standard for all manufacturers including European - probably Japanese too.

spedo reading is calculated by reading the tailshaft speed and then the computer calculates using the diff ratio and rolling diameterof the tyres
