VE front strut in VS Commodore

Does anyone know if a VE front suspension strut will fit in a VS? From pictures they looks the same but I don't have a VE one here to measure up.

No chance, completely different chassis.

yes I know the chassis is completely different, has anyone actually measured or looked at a VE strut and VS strut side by side though? I know the strut top bush is the same part.

2 seconds of googling and using the monroe website says no. Different spring seats and sway bar points at a minimum.

I'm mainly interested in the strut top and the bracket that fits to the hub. the rest will be modified anyway.

Monroe's site will give you a 360 degree view of each strut. Can't comment on the strut top but it looks similar to a VT onwards. Clevis is much of a muchness, you could probably redrill it to fit whatever knuckle you're using.

top bush's and bearings are the same from VS to VE, strut length and spring seat are different from what I can see
