I searched and searched, and couldn't find an answer.

Is the stereo/headunit and the AC controls etc, all one unit, or are they seperate ? I mean, the radio part is seperate to the heater/ac controls from behind the facia.

Alpine have come up with a replacement, have seen them installed by option audio I think

I just looked them up and you're right on the money. The AC controls look like something that belong in a taxi.

i like how it looks and it works great to with the Alpine double din head unit and its 10x better to look at than the stock unit so im happy with what they have come up with so far.

tbh I prefer the stock HVAC controls. But to have that crap headunit out of my car and a good sat-nav unit in instead is awesome. Worth it for that reason for me.

btw- it isn't Alpine. It works with most. From memory you could order it with wiring for 3 or 4 brands (i.e - most wiring is simple plug in). Love mine, will never regret it overall for the benefit of aftermarket h/u.
