Evening All,

Strange question, but does anyone know the brand of the original VE key battery?

Depends where you bought the car I guess,
As I did have a Maxell battery in one of mine,
and Asian brand in the other Key, because I couldn't understand the printing/engraving on it,

However I just went to the local $2 shop, and got a pair of batteries and replaced them both.
They seemed to worth ok.

Can I ask why your asking for the Original Brand that was used ?

Keeping in mind, there are Key Heads out there have different size batteries also.
Doesn't really matter what brand, as long as they work ok I guess

At present, mine has a Maxwell in it
Reason I enquire is that I asked the dealer to replace it as part of the latest service
Provided a Maxwell CR2032 to replace it with, however, I’m not confident it’s been replaced, although I am told it was....

That is always a grey area !, things like that, I always mark them with something.
"Did they replace it , or not"
Some time ago I remember a couple of times the dealer said they replaced it for nothing, [as a courtesy offer I guess], as they made a big deal out of it,
When testing the transmitter, they said the range was low,
Considering the battery is only worth $3, they probable hid the charge of $10 for it in the cost of the service.
And the service was approx. $360,
Keeping in mind, they did charge labour to replace the battery tho.
