The whole steering column has to come out as well as the brake booster. Unscrew the lower cover to the steering wheel. Un plug all eklectrical connections. Undo 2 x 13mm bolts to the underside of the dash. Drop the column. There is a bolt on top of the column that attaches the column to the pedal box. Use extensions to get at thru the steering wheel. The pedal box has 2 bolts either side of the clutch, 2 bolts from the brake master cylyinder and a 5th bolt up under the dash. The Vl kick also needs to be trimmed to fit.

Why does the brake booster have to come out? I've never had to pull them out to get pedal boxes out.

im wondering if the differences in leverage between the 6cyl pedal and the v8 will make a difference in the conversion? or doesnt it matter when used in a v6 application.

I'm using a VK 6 cylinder pedal box in my VK with an EFI 5L and t5. It does the job, the V8 pedal box would just make the clutch pedal sit normal (sits out a bit further then the brake and accelerator pedal) and ya don't have to push it as far.
