Vicroads rego price and payment

What pees me off is that the rego in vic is automatically indexed to rise every year so that we could be paying up to $1000 dollars in 5 years time just to have our cars on the road.
What a rip off.

Sucks aye to have it cheap

NSW - Green Slip $766
NSW - Rego $470
NSW - Pink Slip $35

Total - $1271

However we do have option for 3 months, 6months and 12 months.

Just a FYI, wasnt trolling or anything like that ok. Just comparitive by state.
NSW is so overpriced its not funny. Makes me sad.

Hi there everyone just wanted to let you know that I'm one of those people on Centrelink benefits and still having trouble paying my rego on time cause I've got other things to pay like (Rent/Mortgage, Shopping, Bills, Car Maintenance Etc).. Then I've got my other half that spends all the money on useless things can't say..!! I use to be able to pay my rego on time and a full year as well but everything is going up in price it's getting impossible to keep up with everything..!! Plus I had to stop working cause of my mother she's got a very bad back now my job is to look after her but I still have to look for work that's impossible as well.. I don't know how some people can live with prices of everything..!! I've just got one question tho how much is it for 6 months rego in Vic..??!! Also if anyone has any problems with Holden VT's/VX's and need tips & hints let me know I've done and been thru everything you possiblely think of with the Holden VT/VX.. Thanks

To answer your questions:
1. Teach your mrs to manage money or get another mrs
2. consult vicroads, I'd say it's around $350 approx if it's available to you
3. My biggest problem with vt/vx is the odd driver of said model who digs years old threads to post irrelevant rubbish.

6 months for my rego in country Vic was just over $200. That was on a heath care card.
All you have to do is half your 12 month's fee. Easy.

I paid around 600 in regional Vic, for a whole year, so half that.

You should get a discount (10%?) for paying the whole year upfront, IMO.

$237.85 for 6 month and $475.80 for 12 month and full price with no concession is $592.00

yeah mine was $695... only i forgot to pay it... and drove 24hrs after it expired the $705 fine was even worse
