He reckons we don't need the aftermarket shifter as still running the OEM hydraulic valve body so the auto is going to shift as factory of course it has all the bell& whistles with valve body upgrades, however it will still shift as OEM auto so no need for racket shifter as no manual valve body

So can get away with factory shifter
The only issue is to not hit neutral on way through the gears, and of course save some $$

That bracket kit is only for aftermarket shifters where owner wants to keep car 100% legal by having shift indicator for rego....not for performance just legality.

Agree if staying stock shifter don't need it but if using aftermarket shifter & shift kit that allows you to change gears then yeah you'll want all jazzy bits to keep factory look inside car.

4l60e shift changes all done in memcal tune....th700 if done diff change you have to drive car work out if change gears too early or too late drop pan & change stuff in shift kit.

I like to shift mine manually on occasion, and the stock VN-VS shifter is a bit of a joke.

It's really easy with the stock shifter to knock it past where you wanted.

I like to shift mine manually on occasion, and the stock VN-VS shifter is a bit of a joke.

It's really easy with the stock shifter to knock it past where you wanted.

I've wondered about welding the shifter lock out gate to fix that issue. It's just a plate with different height steps in it for the various gears.

Back home from 2 weeks tiki tour through Mexico, USA, and Canada
Couldn't find any swap meets going in Pittsburgh or Cleveland, most probably a little cold had snow in weekend
While travelling from Pittsburgh to Cleveland, we had to pass by Summit racing shop, and of course couldn't help myself but go in to have sticky beak
You don't want to spend too much time in this place, or you would be donating your wallet

While travelling around picked up new reverse manual valve body TCI 376010 for 700R4, from a contact, just in case needed it if hydraulic valve body doesn't do it for me

10.5:1 flat tops
Hyd roller cam

want to run the engine on floor with twin point, before dropping engine into car with EFI

R42LTS stock plug
although not at 10.5, I would possibly still run it if I was, could always go colder later if required.

I just remembered purchased a bunch of spark plugs from a guy in USA when purchased some other BBC parts
AC Delco plugs
R42, R43, R44, R45, R46
Have to go through them

id at least go a 6 heat range with that if ur sticking to petrol
