thank you very much for the input mate, much appreciated mate! however with the cork gasket.. in the original post..

There are two Gaskets in the Kit and one is made from Paper and the other Cork the Paper one is used for trans pans that have a continous raised line on the mounting surface and the cork one is used on the trans pan that has a non continuous raised line around the mounting surface (Mine was a Series 1 VN which uses the Paper one )"

Being that my VN is also series one, i made the assumption i'd also be needing the paper gasket over the cork..? but what's the other thing, the rubber type one..? can i use that?

Ive never been able to get non cork ones to seal even with raised edge and non warped pan, each to his own
