Hey guys quick question, What is the best offset to get the rims to be flush on the back and front of a VP?

I have a new set of +25 steelies i am putting on which should fit considering berlina is like +26

but what would make them flush? For next time or another set later on.

cheers

Depends on the rim width of the steelie I guess.

Best measure from the hub surface to the lip, then do the math for the width

I dont have the axle in the car right now or the front K frame, rims are 16x7 inch +25

I was just wondering whats the best offset overall on any width rims, say 9.5'' wide or something, im not fitting spacers.

when I go supercharged I will probably need more than a 7 inch rim on an everyday tyre to get grip.

From memory vn vp irs is 10mm shorter, but unsure on live axle.

Very rough calc, 9.5rim +40 would be about flush, but best measured which axle in and set in position.

Flush with outer guard or just inside the lip? Also rolled lip or untouched? Gotta allow for suspension travel etc

Lip is rolled yeah, came rolled when i got the car as had like 8 inch black D shapes on it i think. I did not buy them with the car, running standard springs too not lowered.

16X8, 48P with 225/50X16 tyres, fitted to a 2" lowered VC Commodore without the lip being folded, showing the clearance front and rear.

Need more angles, holla

From a little research, VP front track is 2 MM total wider than VC and rear is 56MM wider....These are approximates going by some google searching

So this might help with offsets

VP front track 1451MM

VP rear track 1478MM

VC front track 1449 MM

Rear track 1422 MM

Any thing adapted from VE VF. Wheel sits perfect to the body.

From experience;

The VP HSV front wheels are 17x8 30P and flush, hence why the HSVs had that extra mold/trim on the front wheel arch.

VPs have a flat rear wheel arch, flush will look silly and require 4x4 stance.

Just by 2x 8” wide 30P rims and space the rear out and then buy 2x rear wheel to suit.
