Vq caprice ecotec conversion

Hey all
anybody know what it takes to get a 91 vq caprice rwc and registered with an ecotec v6 sourced from a vt?
any help is greatly appreciated

Just need the emissions gear from the car you pulled motor from. If it's a 3.8 now then the swap isnt hard, loom will need modification though. There are a few threads out there on how. Why waste your time on an eco conversion? At least do a 5ltr or if wanting v6, stick in another Buick

It's already converted to ecotec and t5 manual. It runs and drives. Had been told it would need an engineers cert.
just wanting to know if anyone has done it to a vn/p/q before and what needed to be done to rego it?

Why not? They're pretty damn cheap and are a bag of fun with a 5 speed.

It shouldn't be too hard to get one. Emissions should all be good and it bolts in with no fabrication, along with the fact that gearbox came with the car.

it won't need an engineers cert, the engine is a bolt in swap, same size and configuration as the original engine (at the end of the day it is essentially basically the same engine).
