vr cog swapper fit up to a VS ecotec?

Hey all
I've got a chance to score a free running condition vr manual berlina and I was keen to put the manual box up to my vs ecotec which has an annoying auto on it.
Has anyone experienced difficulties with this concept??

You will need the VS T5 flywheel and the manual ECU/loom. The rest is bolt in.

An auto ECU can be converted by soldering some extra components on (google pcmhacking, they have the diagram) and having a manual tune burnt onto the memcal, there's a few mail order tuners who can do it for you here.
