Hey just bought a vr calais v6 auto. when driving slow changes gear fine but revs are a little high before it changes. but when putting my foot down it revs off its head (sounds like hits rev limiter) then changes gear after? Fingers crossed it isnt buggerd! Help!!

Not real sure but they possibly have an adjustable kick down cable like the vn, or do u mean the trans slips?

Mayb try giving the trans a basic service (filter n fluid) and see how it goes from there!

Try servicing the trans as a starting point, you would be surprised how many times that fixes these sorts of issues.

also use a bottle of Lucas Oil stop slip when you do your service...this will help (I put it in all my cars from new, great stuff)

What gear does it do it in? My car will hit the limiter in 1st if i give in the beans from stand still or if im just putting along at 40kmph then plant my foot.
Have you moded the car at all?
