Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
In short, V8 BCM ---> V8 Key.
Cheers,
Jake.
When your saying you used the key from the old car, are you referring to the key from the V6 or V8.
If you are using the key corresponding to the V6 BCM when you have the V8 BCM plugged in it wont send the correct security code to allow your starter motor to crank.
The keys are a one time gig with the BCM. They cannot be recoded to a different BCM.
In short, V8 BCM ---> V8 Key.

I thought that was obvious.. Clearly not.
i changed the whole ignition barrel and using key from old car
To me that sounds like he is using the V6 Key and Key fob with the V8 BCM..
