vr v6 to v8 motor swap help!!!

I swapped the ecu ova when I changed the motor the v6 one came out and the v8 went in

Try the old BCM and key head. Sounds like an immobilisor issue.

Have you done an error code check?

I dont know how to do the error code check? And now I have power to the car all the time eleven when the key is not in the ignition I can turn everything on my heater work sound system do I don't know what the problem is there I think I'm goin to have to pay someone to come fix it I have a guy that said he charges $50 an hour is that a good price?

Have you still got the main relay bridged with the wire? If so take it out and put the relay back in.

When your saying you used the key from the old car, are you referring to the key from the V6 or V8.

If you are using the key corresponding to the V6 BCM when you have the V8 BCM plugged in it wont send the correct security code to allow your starter motor to crank.
The keys are a one time gig with the BCM. They cannot be recoded to a different BCM.

In short, V8 BCM ---> V8 Key.

To me that sounds like he is using the V6 Key and Key fob with the V8 BCM..

Old car being the V8, Old car is always known as a donor car in transplants.
