hi vs commodore v6. air con regassed yeaterday as a hose needed replaceing.

have noticed when ita on lowest fan setting i can hear a hissing sound from behind the dash....when on other settings cannot hear it?

still hwta cold. took a while today but car was in sun for 8 hours lol.

also is there and benifits in putting a thermo fan on front of condensor? i see the atatesmans have it?

if the hissing sound is only when the ac is engaged, it may be undercharged, and you are hearing the gas whistle through the TX valve.

if it is always hissing, it may be a vacuum leak.

as for the fan on the condenser, there is little need, the engine cooling fan will run at low speed when needed by the AC.

hmmm. only hear it when compressor is on and low fan setting.

maybe not gassed enough?

im not suprised if its still leaking though haha

If you suspect the system is still leaking then replace the O rings where the pipes join the evaporator. These are accessed by removing the plenum cover in front of the windscreen. You DON'T need to pull the dash out!
Be aware the oil used in the gas is VERY toxic so avoid contact. An honest aircon place will capture the gas from your system and give you credit for what they recover.
