Hi guys, my scanner can’t connect to ecu. I’ve tried 3 scanners. Same problem. Any ideas?

Stay with a wiring diagram and see if you have ground, power etc on the wires in the plug.

Are the contacts clean, try the paper clip method only requires 2 pins

You need an ALDL scanner. Average OBDII won't connect. Something like a Snap-on will work.

I’ve tried snapon
Try spraying the plug with WD40 and work an old OBD plug in and out a few times. They corrode up and it makes it hard to get a signal. Mine worked on a Snap-on and then one time later it didn't. Cleaning up the port was what helped it from not working intermittently when I used to log data with my laptop on the VR.

It's an OBD type plug that gives into the ALDL port.

The USB-ALDL cable I got from eBay has a fat plug and it is really hard to plug into the socket. The Vident scan tool goes in better.
