Passenger front door on vs statesman won't open.
on the inside the door lock won't go up when remote is pressed or when manually pushed up.
Stuck in lock position.
Door won't open from inside or out no matter what.

The Big issue can't take off door trim due to the screws that hold it in are behind dash.
Don't want to break door trim as it must go back onto car.

Try this. Use the remote to unlock the doors (obviously the passenger door will still be locked). Open the drivers window. Close all the doors. Reach into the the drivers window and manually move the interior drivers door lock down and up a number of times. This should lock and unlock all the doors - and hopefully the passenger door as well.

If that doesn't work you might have to go to plan B. Just be thankful that It's not the drivers door having the problem.

The Actuator located at the bottom of the lock in the door has had it.
Might be able to pull the button up, be very stiff and hard to do but sometimes it will give and pop.

What year is the car? there are 2 types, most common is the rectangle plug but some of the later models had the VT plug a square plug.
best getting yours out first to be sure.

Plan B, not sure if it will work, but it's probably worth a try. Mentioned in several posts but not sure of its effectiveness.

There is a piece of plastic/metal/felt trim that goes on the inside between the top of the door inner panel and the window. Lever this up at one end and remove. This leaves a gap between the window and the door inner panel. Make a hooked shaped piece of wire, such as the bottom of a coat hanger. with the end turned over to form a small hook shape. Lower the wire into the door cavity until it connects with one of the rods that open the door lock and pull. Might take a bit of experimentation.
