VS v6 rattle from front of engine

Hi people, about to pull the harmonic balance to see if my spare one eliminates the rattle in the video supplied.
Had a quick read on a different thread, and I just wiggled my harming nic, and found some minor play.

Mine does that on idle at some angles.

It's my power steering pump. Already have a new one. Just need to fit it.

Sounds like the balancer. Remove the belt and run the engine. If the noise stops it probably the balancer.

Morning,

I swapped to the spare balancer and now I have a vibration on startup, and slightly while driving.

Looking at a new balancer, a price here in Christchurch ex Auckland, is $400 plus
Have checked eBay briefly.
Any input welcome.

Your new balancer must be off a different model they all have a different size and shape balance weight on the back side

Can these be rebalanced, or is it gobgo new ?

Just ordered a new harmonic balancer from mace engineering for $250 NZD.

When I have it and installed it i will post back with any differences

Hey people, I installed the new harmonic balancer last night, and it's nice and quiet and also no vibrations .
So that is fixed.
