Hi,
I have a problem with the interior light at the back of my vs wagon. It has the 3 settings obviously, off, on, and on when the door opens. The problem is the on doesn't work... When it is on that setting it turns on when the door opens. This problem started when a mate used the light connections to test a neon. All fuses are fine, the switch on the light seems fine... can't work it out! It's not a huge problem obviously but as I'm sure you can all relate, it's the little problems that annoy me the most :b: !
Thanks for your help!

check the contacts as they may have been bent when he tested it.

Thanks Voltking!
The contacts aren't bent, he only sat the wires on it to test it (thats why I thought it was probably a fuse...) any other ideas??
Cheers

Faulty earth issue.

Remove the interior light and switch assembly and clean everything and make sure there is no rust where the screws go back in.

Failing that pull the surround of the and check the wiring and make sure it has no bare wires showing through.
