Vt ss dash

Hi guys,i bought a vt ss which was changed from 5.0 to LS1. Everytging works as should except dash lights are on. Are the instrument clusters the same or different?

Maybe, though when looking online for VT SS clusters, sometimes they say "304" and other times they say "LS1" so I'm assuming they're different but I could be wrong... I'll give @lout a shoutout as he seems to frequent the VT/VX section quite a bit, and we'll see his opinion...

Nope.
Just the programming of the cluster.
Whether its v6, v8 5 litre or v8 ls1 (I think l remember differences between the 2 v8s?). Then there is programming for the airbags & abs, traction control.
There is other stuff the cluster can be programmed for. But its very minor.

Can a general auto sparky do that do you think or someone specialized?

Depends on there scanners (tools)?

You can do it yourself with @envyouscustoms cable & software. Thats what l used.
