you need a tech2 program so FIRST thing you do is call around and ask mechanics who can do it

then cruise ebay for a level 3 with the PRNDL ****

maybe you will get lucky and find one out of a car identical to yours but in all likelihood you will get one out of a random car that wont match yours

I've got a level 3 cluster out of a VT (fits & works with VX) Gen3, Auto & with 2 airbags.

If your car has these items it will fit & work without the need of a scan tool.

$110 delivered & the cluster has just over 180,000K's.

u will also need 2 get ur pre tensioners reset, have the cluster calibrated 2 ur diff specs and even tyres if they r different also so the ODO reads correctly, it may plug and play but its not quiet calibrated 2 suit ur own car yet.

Regardless will be in need of a new dash, Driving around and Check Oil, Radiator, Trac Control Off, and Air Bag Lights come on. Crack in the LCD makes it useless past the first 2 digits.
What would be a round about price for a tech2?

To buy one, or do you mean to get someone too program it with a Tech 2? Because they're pretty expensive too buy (the genuine item, that is).

Tech2, $50-$100 to get plugged in and check for faults at a mechanic or auto electrician, or $5000 to buy one.

You can buy brand new cloned tech 2 kits from $500 or less if you look around online. You just have to make sure that you get the proper aussie holden software card with the kit, as some sellers only supply the holden export card and not the proper aussie holden software.. These cheap cloned tech 2's work just the same as the genuine ones holden dealers use.

@ Bret_jjj, Was it you that said the other day, that you can supply the Ozzie software card? Or was that someone else? $500 is still expensive, but it's a worthwhile investment in the end, because you can do so much with it. How much is it too get the Ozzie card mate, do you know?
