VX Ls1 Trying to work out what this knock/rattle is in motor?

Hi, just trying to find out what this knock/rattle is coming from my vx calais Ls1

: been doing it for a couple of weeks gradually getting louder
: wont do it idling or revving in P or N
: only seems to do it in D at around 1500-2000 RPM
: sounded like it was coming from the top or back of the motor but when i filmed this it sounded like maybe from underneath
: car doesnt seem to have lost much power if any

what grade of oil and km on the engine

so guess a knock/rattle at 2000 rpm could be

lifters
oil filter blocked

less likely
auto torquey
the engine oil pump
zorst
valve spring
piston slap/ gudgon/conrods

Well it doesn't sound like a collapsed lifter, it would also do it at idle if it was a lifter. Sounds like a thrown bearing or Rod knock.

Hard to pinpoint a sound on video compared to being beside car ! Any exhaust smoke , coolant loss , idle or acceleration issues or does it only knock between 1500-2000 rpm then goes away after 2000 rpm ? strange it only knocks in gear and not in neutral , does it knock in all gears or only in. "D" ?

Could be something internal in the trans.

I have seen loose flexplate bolts cause issues like this.

Could also be the exhaust is rattling somewhere, when the car is put in gear the driveline squats down slightly, this can cause misaligned exhausts (or other components) to rub/make noises like that.
