Vx shift kit

My vx commodore apparently has a shift kit but i cant feel it when driving also it revs to 3k rpm before changing gears how do i fix this problem?

start with a trans service, then from there work out if you need a rebuild.

My trans bloke told me my trans was on its way out 4 years ago but a service and upping the line pressure has kept it going even with some not so nice treatment.
