Hey guys,

Every time I take a left hand turn at moderate speed the steering seems to get stuck half way through the turn.
There's no noises and it doesn't exactly get literally stuck, it requires actually straightening the steering wheel with effort as opposed to when you turn right and the steering wheel adjusts itself back to center as it should normally. It also feels as if the right wheel isn't taking as much weight as it should be. It feels almost as if when turning right the car leads with the rear and sticks to the corner whereas turning left it leads from front-left and wants to continue that way. :bang:

Any help would be much appreciated.

The rack may be on the way out, the valves may not be releasing the pressure on that side when you go to straighten up.

I would agree with Not An Abba Fan on this one and say that the rack looks like it is starting to give you trouble. Have you had a steering rack replaced recently? If so, you can use the wrong rack from a calais and have all sorts of problems due to the variatronic steering setup. If you haven't had one recently then the rack will be at fault. Hope this helps
