Hi all I have a problem with my Vx ss ls1, I start it it idles around 950-1000 rpm it's great then drive 5 mins up the road to get some fuel and turn it off when I start it again and idles at 2000rpm and won't go back down
Any help would be great thanks I've also replaced IAC

Take the throttle body right off and give it a good clean

did you put motor oil on the iac o'ring ?? you can get a vacuum leak from here, put your hand around the iac when engine's on idles to be sure

Check your PCV hose for a split this can cause uneven idle. its normally splits at the 'Y' piece.

Give the MAF a clean too while your at it
