This is an ecotec . I know it's supercharged but that doesn't matter
..
The air con compressor is down on the bottom right

Close up it looks like this
On the front of the pulley is a clutch ...
When ac is off the clutch isn't engaged and doesn't spin
When you turn ac on it will click in and spin with the pulley
Turn car on
Turn ac on
Does clutch engage and is it spinning?
If you can't tell keep watch and Get someone to turn ac on and off
If ac is on and clutch engages but you have no cold air ... chances are gas leak
If ac is on and clutch does not engage ... chances are it is out on low pressure and has a gas leak
