Hi all, I'm wanting to do some towing and find my standard suspension too soft, just wanting to know if a pair of monroe rear airshocks off a VY Ute will fit my VX Calais to stop it bottoming out. Would adjustable shocks be a better option. Thanks.

Shocks are not what takes the weight when you are towing. If you just put a set of air shocks on and do nothing about the springs then you will blow the shocks out in no time at all, wasting all the money you just spent putting them in. The reason the car bottoms out is that the springs have sagged and all the shocks job is to take the compressions out in the spring as it compresses up and down keeping the wheel to the black stuff. You need uprated springs to take the extra towing weight and a set of air shocks wouldnt hurt either. Dont waste you time and money on just shocks you do need some stronger springs.
