Hi everybody!
First time on for me just finishing off an '03 vy ute LS1 hot-house green
Pranged in 2009 just had to wait untill I retired (age 76yrs)
to repair and put back on the road. I found when I rolled down the driver's window
it popped open the door. After lots of head-scratching I found that the door stop was
fouling the front window glass guide as the door was closed with the end of the door stop
then hooking behind the guide so that when the door was opened it ripped into the edge of the
guide extrusion and pushed the whole window out closer to the outer door skin and bumping
into the door opener mechanism therefore popping open the door.
Method to stop it happening was to slide a crow-bar in through the inner door skin until
it got behind the end of the door-stop and carefully lever it back towards the inner skin
well away from the front glass guide extrusion. problem solved!
