VZ STORM CREWMAN
I ran my VZ Crewman Storm V6 out of fuel deliberately last month. It went about 80 k's past the point where the trip computer read zero. I parked at work and when leaving it stalled trying to get up a steep driveway so had to get the jerry can out. Otherwise I presume there might have been some more k's in it on the flat.

The HFV6 has a returnless system.

Are you sure, how does it work then.

It must have a return some where in the system. It might not run from the motor back, but infact be a return system in the fuel tank.

Seeing as how the last post in this thread was 19/11/2006 I will provide a link to a subsequent thread that has continued the subject but has been locked as at this date..............

There are some interesting fuel readings available on this thread for the 'jockey' wishing to 'try his luck' with these unreliable gauges. ALL IS NOT WHAT IT APPEARS !!

Lol thanks... i think ;)

Yeah there still should have been 4-5litres in there. And yeah city driving.

Something I have noticed though last tank i managed to get to around the 530-540 mark before it started saying "very low fuel"

I don't have any idea about the computers inside the car but could it have some sort of active learning thing and have remembered it got that extra last time??

Happy New Years everyone, think of me working away :(

If anyone is in the Adelaide Casino tonight come say hi i look after express bar.

VZ Commodore SS 5.7 M6
I have the same problem with my 04 VZ SS, well i call a wanker up at Barloworld Holden i basically told the guy my car is on dead empty 15km till i run out and i filled it up and it only took 50liters? he said to me "your fuel pump takes in 15liters" i laughed and hang the phone up. NEWBIES! i even told him its a V8 75Liter tank.

I have it booked in now at Baycity told them the problem and i wanted my PCM flash updated no questions asked so lets see if they can fix this issue.
