It’s the car that keeps on giving!

Last couple of days Adelaide’s been absolute hammered with rain, went out this morning and found this in the drivers footwell
IMG_1636.jpeg

I’ve read all the threads on A/C leaks but that seems to be for passengers side, Everywhere directly above the puddle seems to be bone dry, Will be running the hose over it later in the week to see if I can spot where it’s coming in.

Weird thing is none of the carpet around the rubber foot thing is wet, bone dry like all the trim above, struggling to figure out where it could be coming from, any suggestions on where to check would be great!

the ac leaks behind the carpet and most other leaks end up behind the carpet.
that leak is dripping down from above the carpet or accumulated from your shoes etc.

its in a very forward position to the normal leaks so i would be looking to the top of the windscreen or top of the drivers door seal.

Will have to give it a good hose and see if I can spot the drips

Water was pooled like that before getting in the car for the first time today, cleaned and dryed it last night

it’s just under the edge of the dash and steering wheel, felt around up and around the dash and couldn’t feel anything wet at all, checked window, roof and doors and all bone dry

It seems very strange, but at least the water is hitting a well defined spot, and t( carpet is dry. I have no idea of the cause, but as a suggestion, try hanging a plumbob over the wet patch and see what is immediately above it. Maybe it’s a door seal?

looks like its come through the top right or right side of the windscreen then down the inside of the trim on the pillar then ran down the inside of the dash trim from the headlight switch down
