What can i do for more power?

Hi guys,
i have a wh statesman 5.7L. I know a little bit about cars but not enough to do engine mods myself.
just wanting to know what i can get done to get more power out of the old girl.
i know that more power = more money which is allright coz im not going to get everything done at the same time.
what can i do without getting a turbo or supercharger?

Has anyone had any noticeable success with removing their inlet manifold and polishing/doing a home port job to their heads??

Otr, exhaust, mafless tune is a good start

100% correct thats the basics
Also add in an OTR ramjet air filter, 4into1 extractors for drag (or tri-Y) for torgue and street use

Next go for a lumpy cam (280+ RWKW) with just that (about a 5.5k-7k bill) which isnt bad considering its ore power then the ve GTS has at stock
