spent 4 hours installing roller rockers in my soon to be daily vq caprice, only to find when i was done, i have set the lash too loose...
rattly and guttless... dammit, gotta do it again tomorrow arvo and buy yet another pair of gaskets ;-(

Blew a headlight globe, so I went and grabbed one out of the VN Calais wreck, which just happened to be a Phillips Blue Vision Ultra (I have no recollection of fitting them) so I grabbed both. Winner!

Tried to wash the wheels with my armour all wheel cleaner. Found the spray bottle had jammed, probably due to the chemicals crystalising in the trigger. Poured it into a different bottle, and Washed the wheels. This is the price we pay for remsa pads lol.

took it out on the track at Qld Raceway for a thrashing yesterday, new suspension setup is working really well

gear changes seem to be smoother since changing fuel pump + o2 sensor.

removed all 4 wheels gave them a good scrub with wheel cleaner - they were covered in brake dust after the QR laps on Sunday
fit different size front bump stops as the front struts were bottoming out
adjusted the ride height up a little (F&R)

Yesterday, had the day off work, so i thought i would tackle replacing the idler and tensioner pulleys on my VZ SV6.

Well, it turns out, both of these are already after market, but i ran out of time and could only replace the idler pulley and belt.

My car is now getting hot pretty quickly even after a short calm drive, however chucking the heat on with fan full blast on the air con gets it to drop right back down.

Now need to figure out why the car is doing this.

Just to give note with this, it was having this random heating up issue before i touched the belt/pulleys, but now co-incidently seems to have gotten worse.

I have checked and made sure the belt is on correctly in case the water pump is not moving correctly, all seems ok though.
