What do you do?

What do you do to get your V8 ready for summer to keep her running nice and cool.

We are about to do a CAI set up... cleaned out the K&N last night (didnt realise how dirty it was and how much difference a clean filter makes) and thinking of doing a radiator flush etc... major service next week blah blah blah.

So.... what do you guys/gals do?

As you say, a radiator flush is very good to do, this time of year......while you are doing that, make sure you turn the heater on/off a few times to get the water flushing through there as well......a general underbonnet/car de-grease is good too......clean around brake pads etc etc....a lot of dust/dirt gathers there....air pressure in tyres...... check spare too.....they can go down without you noticing......leads, plugs, filters, fluids.......Air-con working oK????????

Easy for you to do....just park on the lawn, drop radiator hoses from radiator & the engine..... stick the hose on alternating assorted holes.........put a bit of rag over lower holes to let the water jacket fill up, then remove rags, empties quickly.....redo.....clean out the radiator overflow bottle, too........(don't forget the heater hoses, they will be full of dirty water...).......tighten up the hoses again..........almost fill radiator....top up with correct amount of coolant......I am not sure with your motor, you may well have a bleed valve on the top radiator hose, to get the air bubble out............check every now & then , till sure levels aren't changing...........

just remember not to poor cold fluid into a hot engin unless its running could be expensive!
